The philanthropic program for a brighter tomorrow

Demain Logo

A philanthropic program for equal opportunities

Translated as “tomorrow” in French, DEMAIN, the philanthropic program created by Sézane founder Morgane Sézalory in 2018, supports global charities working to equalize access to fundamental rights, including health, education, and culture - through non-profit partner organizations, including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Libraries Without Borders, and the Young Women's Trust.

Driven by the conviction that a better future is achievable through transparency, trust, and collaborative work, DEMAIN partners with worldwide non-profit organizations selected rigorously based on four criteria: scope, governance, financial stability, and impact measurement. We share a privileged relationship of trust with our partners and are committed to supporting them over the long term, directing funds where they are most needed. Since its creation, DEMAIN has raised and distributed over €7 million to support 45,000 children, teenagers, and adults across 300 projects (school kits, healthcare, summer vacation, access to sports...).

While these achievements have surpassed our objectives, we know we can still achieve so much more. So, in the years to come, we will go even further by offering more resources and visibility to our non-profit partners and expanding our scope of action throughout the world.

Every action sparks hope and helps us imagine a better future, which we can start today.

Thank you a thousand times over for yesterday, today, and in advance for tomorrow.

ABOUT

The philanthropic program DEMAIN is composed of two entities:

The DEMAIN endowment fund, independent and based in France, supports projects in France and in the European Union. Governance is organized around:
- a Board of Trustees which meets twice a year to define the fund's strategy and key guidelines.
- an Investment Advisory Committee, comprising six external participants with expertise in philanthropy, which advises the fund on arbitration and determines funding priorities.
- an Executive Board, which is responsible for selecting non-profit organizations, redistributing funds, and monitoring and measuring impact. The Executive Board meets with the partner associations every six months to establish progress reports on allocating funds and draw up an assessment of the projects supported.

The DEMAIN Fund's annual accounts are established by a firm of chartered accountants (ENDRIX) and certified by an auditor (MAZARS).

Both DEMAIN funds are hosted by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), a charity operating in the UK, USA, and Canada. An expert in philanthropy, it offers fund management and advisory services to donors and charities alike. As a result, DEMAIN can offer support to American and British associations working in fields such as health, education, etc. This collaboration ensures the efficient and transparent distribution of funds to vital causes, reinforcing the impact of the support provided by the DEMAIN solidarity program on an international scale.

In the US, DEMAIN is a donor-advised fund administered by CAF America, an American association, registered under the EIN number 43-1634280.
In the UK, DEMAIN is a donor-advised fund administered by CAF, a British association, registered under the number 268369.
